The cathedral of Speyer was the subject of a panegyric poem written 1486 by the Alsatian humanist Jakob Wimpfeling. The poem is an important source for the history of religiousness in late medieval Germany, for the history of the famous building of the cathedral at Speyer and for liturgical reforms around 1500.
