The monograph presents models of free pre-litigation legal aid from a comparative perspective, taking into account, on the one hand, the theoretical and legal basis for the functioning of free pre-litigation legal aid, and on the other hand, the practical aspects of its implementation using the example of Sweden, United Kingdom, Ukraine and Poland.

The authors set the following research goals: 1) to define the concept of free legal aid, taking into consideration the standards of the Council of Europe (especially from the European Convention on Human Rights and soft law standards) and the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union;
