Klezmer is the Yiddish word for “musician”, and is commonly used to refer to Jewish traditional music. Originating from Eastern Europe, Klezmer music played an important part during Jewish festivals and celebrations, and clearly reveals musical influences from the Balkan and Slavic regions.
