Our world is full of crises. The changes that crises bring with them open up opportunities to re-shape working life. Discovering the potential and creative power of individuals in work processes requires an self-awareness of their own role in an organisation. This volume presents basic principles and suggestions for promoting systemically appreciative organisational and human resources development. Relations between actors are considered from a systemic perspective. The appreciative aspect relates to enhancement at the individual level, and shows how the systematic reflection on an individual’s own values and attitudes towards the work process can be encouraged. The book was written in the context of the exploratory research project “Lernen – Erfahren – Austauschen (LEA) Benchmarking in Kindertageseinrichtungen” (Learning – Experiencing – Exchanging Ideas – Benchmarking in Children’s Daycare Facilities) in close cooperation with skilled and managerial staff in youth services. The findings can be applied to organisations in other fields.
