Das menschliche Gespräch ist ein allgegenwärtiges Phänomen. Wie solche Gespräche strukturiert werden, auf welche Art und Weise die beteiligten Gesprächspartner dies bewerkstelligen und welche kommunikativ sprachlichen Mittel sie dabei verwenden, ist Gegenstand der vorliegenden Einführung. Für die 5. Auflage ist der Band überarbeitet und nach dem neuesten Forschungsstand aktualisiert worden. Jedem Kapitel wurden Zusammenfassungen und Hinweise zur weiterführenden Lektüre beigegeben. Die "Linguistische Textanalyse" von Klaus Brinker ist inzwischen zu einem Standardwerk der Sprachwissenschaft geworden. Ebenso verständlich wie fachlich kompetent geschrieben, ermöglicht auch die 9. The intention thereby is to give prominence to the connections between written-monologic and spoken-dialogic communication - despite all dissimilarities between the two - and to faciliate the orientation of the handbook user.
