The North–South divide in Europe represents a geographical and cultural boundary that has influenced how European nations think about their history and identity. This study explores German representations of the South by examining the Italian travel writings of Goethe and Heine to reveal the changing meaning of Italy for German cultural identity.

Im Rahmen der Arbeit wird ein Fahrerassistenzsystem für vorausschauendes automatisiertes Fahren entwickelt. Es umfasst die Längs- und Querführung des Fahrzeugs sowie die Steuerung der relevanten Triebstrangkomponenten. Dabei werden Vorausschauinformationen über die Fahrzeugumgebung ausgewertet, um ein energie- und komfortoptimales Fahrverhalten zu erreichen. The work covers the development of a driver assistance system for anticipatory automated driving that controls lateral and longitudinal vehicle motion as well as relevant drivetrain components. It evaluates predictive information about the vehicle's environment to enable energy-efficient and comfortable driving.
