Der Schlüssel zur Welt des Mittelalters. Mit seinen 24.000 Stichwörtern dokumentiert das Lexikon des Mittelalters alle Fakten und Zusammenhänge zur gesamten Epoche. Der Registerband erschließt diese Fülle an Informationen. Er bietet ein alphabetisches Verzeichnis der Verweisstichwörter mit Band- und Spaltenangaben, alle Autoren mit den von ihnen verfassten Artikeln und verschiedene Sach- und Fachartikel, die die einzelnen Stichwörter unterschiedlichen Bereichen, z.B. Geschichte und Kultur der Juden, Architektur und Medizin zuordnen. Damit werden inhaltlich-thematische Zusammenhänge, Informationsstrukturen und Teilaspekte großer, übergreifender Artikel sichtbar.
