The book presents current research attempts to solve the problem of seismic retrofitting and strengthening of reinforced concrete (RC) beam-column joints. After introducing two innovative energy dissipation devices such as Multi Functional Corbels (HMFC) and Harmonica Damper Plates (HHDP), a third innovative retrofitting Technique using Frictional-Bending Damper Plates is proposed. It is experimentally evaluated and Its effectiveness and reliability is investigated through a numerical analysis.
