This book brings together mathematicians who are seriously interested in obtaining new challenging stimuli from economic theories and those economists who are seeking effective mathematical tools for their research.

It was a special challenge for many of those involved, but in retrospect also a great experience of cohesion, that an ordination to the priesthood could be carried out each morning at the LOGOS conference. So it was natural that the members of the Circle of Seven invited to an hour in which they looked at aspects of this sacrament from different perspectives. Before the meeting, the decision had been made that all three of the leaders Oliver Steinrueck, João Torunsky and Christward Kröner would be involved in the immediate execution of the sacrament. Together with their steering colleagues Gisela Thriemer, Susanne Gödecke, Stephan Meyer and Jarosław J. J. Rolka they created the reflections presented here. Aileen Nowaczek (flute) and Richard Nowaczek (violin) created the transitions from one to the other motif of the priestly ordination as a musical improvisation. The two artists showed the ability to create a unique sound quality in the room that permeated and continued the speaking and listening.
