The VEPZO model subdivides a room into several zones exchanging air. This allows the estimation of airflow pattern and temperature distribution at low computational cost. The model is exemplarily used in two optimization tasks: the development of new aircraft cabin ventilation and the energy efficient combination of windows with mechanical ventilation in a classroom.
