5 cm Granatwerfer 36
Weapon / Accessories / Ammunition
Produktform: Buch / Einband - fest (Hardcover)
The German 5 cm Granatwerfer 36 was the smallest steep fire gun of the German Army in the Second World War. Introduced as a support gun for the infantry, it proved to be too complicated and inadequate in effect over time. This led to the end of production in 1943, although it remained in use until the end of the war.
A total of about 30,000 units were produced.
The 5 cm Granatwerfer 36 had an extensive range of accessories, its transport containers, as well as different types of ammunition and corresponding packaging. The material also underwent several changes during its service lifetime.
The aim of this book is to present the weapon in its entirety. In detailed descriptions, supplemented by numerous illustrations, a comprehensive technical-historical picture of this trench mortar is given for the first time.
A large number of previously unpublished photographs, reproductions from service manuals and images of original objects provide the reader with an unparalleled insight into a historical chapter of weapons technology.weiterlesen
