A new Method Based on the Incremental Step Test for Deriving Cyclic Properties for Additively Manufactured Metals
Produktform: Buch / Einband - flex.(Paperback)
This work aims to reduce the effort to derive Wöhler-lines of additively manufactured (AM) metallic structures in order to decrease the reaction time within the manufacturing parameter optimization and the resulting mechanical properties. The AM process investigated is the Laser-Based Powder Bed Fusion (LB-PBF), the most used for industrial applications, and the one with the higher technology maturity index.
For this, the Incremental Step Test (IST), a fast experimental procedure to derive the cyclic stress-strain curve, will be used to investigate the cyclic material behavior of the aluminum-silicon hypoeutectic alloy AlSi10Mg. The method derived aims at reducing the usual time-consuming fatigue testing to consider aspects of structural durability within the optimization of the manufacturing parameters of the LB-PBF-process and to enable the rapid development of reliable AM components.weiterlesen
