With the revised English version of her textbook 'Indogermanistisches Grundwissen' the author offers an introduction to the fundamentals of Proto-Indo-European that is directed not only to students of this subject but above all to interested people from other disciplines. The author describes the essentials in 17 lessons and gives a clear presentation of the material. Besides generally accepted scholarly opinions, new results of investigations are also presented. A short list of questions at the end of each lesson provides an opportunity to test the material covered.
