Ane Mette Hol deals with marginal phenomena of art production. By directing her gaze to the incidental, to objects that fall off during the process of creating art in the studio, for example, or to traces that remain in the room during the exhibition setup, she sharpens the view of the artistic conditions of production. The artist analyzes surfaces for their texture and reconstructs them meticulously in lengthy processes. On closer inspection, all these inconspicuous materials and remnants turn out to be detailed, perfectly crafted drawings. For the catalog, the artist traced 12 squared A3 pages, as usual in a school notebook. The idea of a school notebook is further echoed by the staple binding of the catalog. However, special attention is also paid to the production, unlike usual, the right, outer edge was not trimmed.
