In this work, it was shown that it is possible to operate solid electrolyte gas sensors based on yttria-stabilized zirconia potentiodynamically and to increase their selectivity.
During voltammetric operations (cyclic and square-wave voltammetry) of solid electrolyte gas sensors, conditions for peak formation were found in gas mixtures containing H2, CO, NO/NO2, O2 and H2O in concentrations between 0 and 300 vol.-ppm (0 – 500 vol.-ppm for O2).
