Readers will be rewarded by immersing themselves in Christians detailed memoir of his childhood years. The book is an easy read, both suspenseful and humorous. A most enjoyable and engaging read. The incredible detail in which he recollects the many twists and turns made this book a real page turner. I couldn't put it down and it reminded me of the stories my father shared of his childhood during the same time period. Anyone who wants to understand how this generation learned how to make the best out of the most difficult situations and to never lose hope will enjoy Christian's book.
