This book provides a synopsis of the matter of performance synthesis followed by an analysis on how 'historically informed' musicians actually play Georg Philipp Telemann. Finally even Telemann's music is rendered by a computer. The initial question about the end of the musician can be seen with a wink, of course, but nevertheless it contains a trace of concern. The author clearly does not want the musician to disappear.
