The work "Billings" by San Keller was created for the exhibition "Entrepreneurship - Oder die Verheissung des brotlosen Glücks" by Fabio Luks. It aims to reveal the financial transactions within the artistic network. Keller achieves this by inviting other artists to make their current invoices available to him in order to provide an insight into the business aspect of creating art. Keller copied the invoices by hand and thus created new works, which were sent to the artists in return. The artist's book, a DIN A4 folder with 64 individual pages, contains all the copied invoices as reprints. The publication is limited to 200 copies and is numbered and signed by the artist in the folder. "The series is a barter. During the exhibition period, the artists forward me the invoices that they charge for their projects, performances and works. I read out these invoices, in ascending order from the smallest to the largest, at the finissage of the exhibition. In return, all artists who participate with one or more invoices will receive a carbon copy of their invoice with the largest invoice amount. [...] The artists disclose their invoices for "Billing", receive attention and an appreciation of their practice in return and receive the invoice back by return of post."
