A violent and materialistic African-American youth has emerged from communities overrun by crime, drugs, and broken homes. Because of frustrated aspirations resulting from impoverished conditions, millions of youths are at risk to acquire what David D. Mitchell calls the Destructive Capitalistic Personality Complex (DCPC), which leads to destructive behavior patterns.
