The brochure is published on the occasion of the installation in the inner courtyard of the Jewish Museum of Switzerland. Four sculptures by the artist Fabio Luks engage in a conversation with the medieval gravestones installed in the Museum's courtyard. CHAI, «alive» in Hebrew, is central to Judaism, which attaches the highest importance to life. Fabio Luks (*1982, Switzerland) studied fine arts at Basel’s Institut Kunst and philosophy and Jewish studies at the University of Basel. Luks's work focuses on text and writing.
