The sound and media artist Claus Böhmler called himself a media researcher. He was among the first artists in Germany interested in using that era’s media as raw- and research material for their art, and in the changes in sensory perception that accompanied these media. The catalogue both concentrate on Böhmler’s series of Schriftbilder (drawings with text) he created in 1968 using the DIN A4 format.
