The role of expertise for the visual processing of action-related body postures
Produktform: Buch
This book deals with the cognitive processes necessary for the control of complex human movements. The core aspect of this work is the functional interplay between action representation, action perception, and action control.
Four experimental studies are presented here referring to the role of motor expertise for perceiving and anticipating complex movements. Specifically, even unconscious processing mechanisms are investigated. For all studies, the priming paradigm, which is an established paradigm in experimental psychology, is used. This experimental approach has only rarely been used in sport psychology until now. The research presented here thus might give some new insight into the perceptual processing of action-related body postures.weiterlesen
