Whether as a concept artist or minimalist, he pursues his own site-specific approach. Since the late 1960s, Buren’s work has addressed the framework and limits set up by museums or galleries and rarely questioned until then. Chemnitz is already in possession of a highly visible work by Daniel Buren: a 302-meter-high chimney, designed in 2012/13. This catalog provides detailed documentation of the project.
