Being non-prototypical causative verbs, Object-Experiencer verbs such as verwirren (to confuse), enttäuschen (to disappoint) are a popular topic of linguistic research. This book examines their past participles. Corpus data for selected exemplars, based on their semantics, is discussed in a qualitative and quantitative manner. The study focuses primarily on structures in which the participles combined with the verbs sein, werden, and machen, can be interpreted as verbal and/or adjectival.
