When developing, optimizing or selecting spring loaded safety relief valves, both static and dynamic loads in the seat seal must be taken into account. The focus of this work is therefore on a differentiated analysis of both types of loads. For the case of static loading, a statistical dimensioning model is proposed which takes into account various operating variables as well as the geometry and materials of the seat seal. This model is evaluated and discussed for selected designs of the seat seal. For the case of dynamic loading, a conventional dimensioning approach taking into account the impact energy is roposed, where various methods for the determination of the impact energy are evaluated and discussed.weiterlesen
