The book is a result of the DFG-project: "From Hearts of Stone to Hearts of Flesh" which was conducted during the years 2014–2021. PhD students and Postdoctoral researchers summarize the results of their studies around travels to Auschwitz, Buchenwald, and in Palestinian refugee Camps The project is the first larger research in transdisciplinary Reconciliation Studies.
