This book collects Dr. Graham Allison's responses to questions raised by the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) and views from a virtual dialogue that was part of the “China and the World” webinar series held by CCG.  In this dialogue, which brought together a number global thought leaders on topics concerning the current state of globalization, the challenges it faces and China’s role in it, CCG President Huiyao (Henry) Wang, along with world renowned scholars, a Nobel laureate, former politicians and leading sinologists, shared thoughts and views on the escalating tensions between the great powers, the COVID-19 pandemic and its influence on the balance of world power, the threat of a new ‘cold war’, possible military conflict and cooperative responses to global challenges between China and the US, wealth gaps and other negative aspects of both globalization and anti-globalization, China’s potential contribution to WTO reform and multilateralism.
