EW2017 is hosted by the 5G Lab GmbH, organized by the Deutsche Telekom Chair of Communication Networks and held at TU Dresden. The theme of this edition of EW2017 will be "The Way Towards Holistic 5G", with a focus on the latest developments, trends, as well as future outlook of the 5th generation mobile networks.
Continuing with the tradition of the European Wireless conferences, the scope of EW2017 is broad, including, in addition to the subjects of the main conference theme, the most relevant topics in modern communications. The organizing committee of EW2017 has prepared a stimulating and instructive conference program including technical presentations, workshops, tutorials, exciting talks by distinguished keynote speakers as well as social events.
EW2017 is proud to have world-class researchers as keynote speakers. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christian Bettstetter (AAU, Austria) will give a talk entitled "Networked minidrones: The hype is ripe", Prof. Dr.-Ing. Eckehard Steinbach (TUM, Germany) will give a talk on "Haptic communication for the Tactile Internet", Prof. Dr. Costin Raiciu (PUB, Romania) will give a talk entitled "Using Multipath TCP to enable smooth connectivity in 5G networks", Prof. Dr.-Ing. Wolfgang Utschick (TUM, Germany) will give a talk on "Subspace Sudoku for Multiuser mmWave Communications", while Prof. Dr. Petar Popovski (AAU, Denmark) will give a talk on " Ultra-Reliable Wireless Communications: Building Blocks and Models".
EW2017 has also organized two workshops in relevant aspects of 5G communications, including: "COCOA - COmpetitive and COoperative Approaches for 5G networks" and "International Workshop on 5G Enabling Technologies for the Internet of Things (GET-IoT)". Moreover, EW2017 offers three tutorials also on specific areas of 5G, including: "Hacking Network Coding for 5G Systems", "Virtualization and 5G" and "Design and Evaluation of Highly Reliable Communication Systems for 5G".weiterlesen
