Produktform: Buch / Einband - fest (Hardcover)
This book examines ethnographic research conducted within small development non-profits operating in Australia, Asia, Europe, and Africa. It focuses on the topic of evaluation in development from the small non-profit perspective. Literature on how small non-profits conduct and use evaluation is extremely limited. This topic is important as small non-profits comprise the vast majority of non-profits (over ninety per cent globally) and, despite facing a number of context sensitive constraints, particularly around time and funds, they are under similar pressure to evaluate as larger non-profits. The findings of the research demonstrate high levels of resource wastage on certain forms of evaluation alongside parallel practices of informal evaluation that are cost-effective, highly utilized, and context-sensitive. weiterlesen
