Fundamentals of Fluid Power
Part 2: Pneumatics
Produktform: Buch / Einband - flex.(Paperback)
The book "Fundamentals of Fluid Power" is a translation of the German text "Grundlagen der Fluidtechnik". Its content has been updated continuously and is based on the lectures of W. Backé in the period of 1968 to 1994. This book serves as a tool to help engineers interested in science as well as in practical applications complete typical tasks they may encounter during their careers. The present part two covers the whole field of pneumatics.
The theoretical fundamentals of pneumatics are treated first. Starting with the basics of thermodynamics, the calculation of flow rates at various types of resistors as well as at serial arrangements of resistors, and pressure losses in pipes are all explained.
The components for building pneumatic systems like compressors, valves, linear and rotating actuators, filters, accumulators, sensors and accessories are explained with regard to their structures and functions. Typical commercially available devices are used as examples throughout the book.
Control circuits for various applications are developed, which may be triggered by displacement, human action, pressure or time, as well as field bus controls for valves. Closed-loop control of pneumatic systems and simulation to support the design process are also treated.
Finally, the drawing symbols according to the DIN ISO standard are presented.weiterlesen
