The new publication series of the Heinrich Schliemann Institute for Classical Studies at Rostock begins with the collected research of the former director of the institute over four decades on the earliest city in the Black Sea region, founded after 650 B.C. by Miletus near present-day Istria, RO. Histria existed for some 1300 years and was never built over.
