There has been a lot of water under the bridge since then, and nowadays filtration is understood as an integral part of the process of beer production. MEBAK® has also tasked itself with publishing works on this important topic, taking the first step by issuing the MEBAK®Filtration Guideline (Depth Filtration) in 2017. Building upon this, the working group headed by Dr. Stefan Kreisz of Erdinger Weißbräu in Erding, Germany, has now also prepared a guideline on membrane filtration.
