Abstract This paper explains key technologies of Artificial Intelligence (AI), namely machine learning, expert systems, speech recognitions, gesture recognition, and related techniques. Capabilities and especially limits of capabilities of AI techniques are discussed. Techniques are illustrated by maritime examples taken from personal experience and literature. The conclusion is that AI techniques are a useful tool, but no silver bullet.weiterlesen
