This book offers an ultra-realist analysis of lethal violence among individuals and groups engaged in ‘organised’ criminality within the West Midlands. It examines two high profile cases of homicide and organized crime in the West Midlands region of the UK, and also draws on ethnographic research and biographical accounts of prominent figures in the region's criminal underworld. It considers the precursors of lethal violence employed by those within criminal groups, including the forces that are causative of harm. It also discusses the deterministic forces behind the interactions of those involved and the significance of the social embedding of organized crime in the West Midlands.
