How relevant and timely is "Laudato si'" for Africa?
Globalisation of Concern IV
Produktform: Buch / Einband - flex.(Paperback)
We believe the present publication to be relevant for the African context, serving as tool to revive the discussion about the interlinkages of ethical teachings of the church and sustainable climate action to preserve our environment.
In view of the COP24 in Katowice, the episcopal synod in Rome in October and the general importance of environmental protection for future generations, we believe that this publication will be a valuable contribution to common efforts in environmental protection in Africa.
Moreover, since the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development has developed its “Marshall Plan with Africa”, a special focus lies on climate change and youth.
In this context Prof. Msafiri’s paper not only recalls Pope Francis’ call for preserving creation and peace, but raises awareness about the importance for environmental protection and stimulates responsible and sustainable climate action in Africa.

Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung e.V., Brussels)
