The painter Soshana (1927–2015) staged more than 100 exhibitions of her work, and succeeded early on in making a name for herself. However, owing to her Jewish origins, she sadly had to leave her homeland when she was still a child. She obtained her artistic training in London and New York, and later in Vienna. One of her great passions was travelling. She travelled to the hot-spots of the Moderne movement and befriended Pablo Picasso in Paris, who painted her.
