The prediction of the lifetime of mechanical designs is a challenging task in mechanical engineering. The accurate estimation of risks and providing the warranty on themechanical components is a problem taking place mainly in the industry, e.g. in the manufacturing of engines, turbines, heat exchangers, etc. The importance of this problem is strongly related to the income of the manufacturer, which is one of reasons for their interest.
