The book first sketches the historical evolution of Indo-African relations. In the process, the normative underpinnings of today’s relations are carved out. Subsequently, it analyses three foreign policy fields: (1) India’s foreign economic policy in general and towards Africa in particular with an in-depth analysis of economic relations (trade, investment, lines of credit); (2) India’s development cooperation policy towards Africa; (3) India’s politico-diplomatic foreign and security policy toward Africa, including New Delhi's high-level diplomacy and diplomatic capacity, diaspora policy, security relations as well as multilateral Africa policy. weiterlesen
