Individually tunable micromirror arrays
Produktform: Buch / Einband - flex.(Paperback)
This research aimed to develop individually tunable array of micromirrors capable of producing non-diffractive beams known for their special properties like 'self-reconstruction' and 'diffraction-free' propagation. MEMS mirrors that employ two different actuation principles are explored in the thesis: piezoelectrically tunable Fresnel mirrors that can generate propagation invariant and self-healing interference pattern, and thermally tunable mirrors that can produce light fields with unique spatial profiles. The research was done in cooperation with the Max Born Institute for Nonlinear Optics and Short Pulse Spectroscopy (MBI), where the micromirrors were employed in studying phase-shift autocorrelation to enhance the resolution of non-collinear pulse autocorrelation of femtosecond lasers, to generate Airy like beams, and in investigating non-diffracting Talbot effect.weiterlesen
