It is, therefore, only logical that Vulkan-Verlag now announce for the autumn of 2018 the launch of the 3rd edition of this standard work, following the broad acclaim accorded the – now out of print – 2nd edition of 2013. The basic concept of the book remains unchanged: an introductory examination of the fundamentals of the induction process, a description of system hardware and a discussion of melting technology are followed by detailed concentration on the metallurgical process-engineering of induction facilities for melting, temperature maintenance and casting.
