One century after the official birth of phenomenology in Husserl’s Logical Investigations (1900–01), the philosophical outcomes that resulted from the progress made by analytic philosophy of mind and language within the second half of the 20th century – from Quine to Putnam and McDowell – legitimate a reinterpretation and critical reassessment of the main theses and concepts inherited from the phenomenological tradition.
