The exhibition "Longing for Italy - Drawings and Watercolours" presents 50 pieces from the collection of Dr. Ruprecht Kamlah, who donated his precious collection, assembled over many decades, to his Alma mater, Friedrich Alexander University. The collection of approximately 170 pieces contains drawings and watercolours by German artists living in Rome in the late 18th and 19th centuries. Dr Kamlah's collection includes works by such famous artists as Joseph Anton Koch, Johann Christian Reinhart, Ludwig Richter, Hans Thoma, Karl and Leopold Rottmann, Domenico Quaglio the Younger, Joseph Rebell and Karl Lindemann-Frommel.weiterlesen
