The teaching practices of education institutions are characterised by the respective organisation and by the question of how different staff members understand and develop teaching. With a qualitative reconstruction study, the author will demonstrate that organisations have different teaching cultures, based in the fact that all participants in an organisation - from the management and administrators, to full-time teaching staff and instructors - have a unified idea of how teaching works in their institution. This empirical understanding suggests that the role of the educational institute in didactic theory formation should be taken into stronger consideration.
