Larry Norton has become renowned internationally in creative and artistic circles , as one of Zimbabwe’s foremost artists, specialising in the wildlife, landscapes and people of Africa. Growing up on a game farm in the north east of his native Zimbabwe, Larry’s love for his country has become the signature of his artistic expression. He transports viewers of his art to the vast African plains, one brushstroke at a time. Working mainly in oils but also in watercolours , charcoal and pencil he captures the rich emotions of the land and its inhabitants. Painting primarily from his studio in Victoria Falls, Larry has also conducted numerous expeditions through national parks and remote areas on foot and by kayak and canoe. A year long flight of exploration across Africa , was undertaken with bushpilot Tom Claytor in a Cessna.
