Ce travail consiste en une analyse généalogique du concept de non-contemporanéité (Ungleichzeitigkeit) dans l’œuvre d’Ernst Bloch depuis ses premiers écrits jusqu’à sa fixation terminologique plus ou moins définitive dans Héritage de ce temps (1935). Le livre insiste sur le fait que ce concept est inséparable des intuitions majeures de la philosophie de Bloch et trouve sa racine à l’intérieur de sa démarche ontologique : l’être non-contemporain à soi, se cherche continuellement et dans sa quête féconde produit constamment de nouvelles déterminations. Le texte suit à la trace les occurrences du terme non-contemporanéité et tente d’en cerner l’évolution dans des domaines tels que la philosophie de l’histoire, la philosophie de l’art, la philosophie de la religion, l’ontologie ou la théorie politique de Bloch. Aníbal Pineda Canabal est docteur en philosophie de l’Université catholique de Louvain. It insists that this concept is inseparable from the major intuitions of Bloch’s philosophy and finds its roots within his ontological approach: being non-contemporaneous to itself, continually seeking itself and in its fruitful quest constantly producing new determinations. The book traces the occurrences of the term non-contemporaneity and attempts to identify its evolution in fields such as philosophy of history, philosophy of art, philosophy of religion, ontology, or Bloch’s political theory. Aníbal Pineda Canabal has received a PhD in philosophy from the Catholic University of Louvain.
