The German-speaking University didactics are characterised by trends based on historical developments and regional framework conditions. To date there has been no overall concept that would have combined these predominant trends. The conference publication on hand presents approaches to solve this issue, which were developed during the course of the 40th annual conference of the dghd and the 1st international symposium ProLehre. The contributions demand a clear strategic focus of the University didactics in the field. By using supra-regional reflexions and networks the competence centre of a University didactical institution may then extend its field of action without losing its focus and individual vision.
