Der erste Band der Untersuchungen ist den Leitbegriffen 'Lex' und 'Ius' und deren systematischer Entwicklung innerhalb der politischen Theorie, Philosophie und Rechtswissenschaften des Mittelalters bis hin zur Schule von Salamanca gewidmet.
