Loadspace Shipment Sharing im Strassengüterverkehr
Konzept – Umsetzung – Perspektiven
Produktform: Buch
Road freight is one of the main causes of CO2 emissions and congestion costs. Since the potential for increasing the utilization of trucks by individual fleet operators is limited, the focus is increasingly shifting to potential which has not yet been realized and which lies in particular in new forms of cooperation between several transport service providers. In this context, the creation of transparency in the cross-company perspective in particular promises to uncover synergies that are available regarding load space cooperation.
The “loadspace Shipment Sharing” concept developed as part of an innovation project funded by Innosuisse offers the possibility of matching available shipments and unused loadspace with other fleet operators within a community via a digital platform and handling them across fleets. This increases utilization in the operational deployment of the fleets involved. At the heart of the project stands the application of an intelligent matching algorithm. In order to use this algorithm efficiently, real-time transparency of loadspace is required in particular, so that free loadspace and existing shipments can be automatically matched. Compared to existing cooperation concepts, the LSS offers economic and ecological potential.weiterlesen
