This book contains the lecture notes and exercises corresponding to a the course "Quantum Field Theoretical Methods in Condensed Matter" that we imparted for several years within the master program on Condensed Matter and Biological Systems at the Autonoma University of Madrid. It provides step-by-step description of the lectures which might be helpful for professors willing to undertake a similar task as well as for the interested students. On the other hand, it provides a complete set of exercises on the different topics together with hints on their solutions, which is typically absent in most textbooks now available on many-body techniques.
