Nowadays, commercial and office building architecture is mostly either glass, cool, and abstractly inaccessible, or employs effects foreign to architecture, and resorts to the spectacular to attract attention. Mäckler’s architecture always aims to have to something to do with the location, its history and the ambience, to correspond with the surroundings and advance them.
